Sutton Architects were instructed by the client to remodel the existing single storey attached outbuildings to form a large kitchen that connected with a walled south west facing garden.

Candle Cottage is a modern oak framed dwelling located on the fringe of the historic village of Ulcombe Kent. The property was built in the late 1990s to replicate a traditional oak framed house, using vernacular materials.

Sutton Architects brief was to extend the existing farmhouse to provide for a large kitchen / family room and an attached annex for  the client's mother. 

Springhill Barn is set within open countryside and one of 3 rural building that formed the original farm development.

Sutton Architects were engaged to provide construction and working drawings for the development and refurbishment of this grade 2 listed Threshing Barn.

Street House Garden Project was a project that I undertook  approx. 10 years ago.

The new dwelling was set in the garden / curtilage of the main house which was a grade 2 listed attached farmhouse dating back to the 17 C.

Sunnybrae was a new detached dwelling in the garden of a detached dwelling in Boxford Newbury Berkshire. The existing garden was levelled and the railway embankment to the rear removed to allow space for the new dwelling.

Sutton Architects brief was to remodel, extend and convert the detached dwelling that was built in the 1990s in a contemporary style.

Sutton Architects brief was to extend and convert the 19 C cottage to take in the wonderful surrounding views across the South Downs. 

Dean Cottage was a contemporary kitchen / family room extension / outdoor living space which completely transformed the ground floor plan from a cellular layout to an open plan living space. 

Mill Court is a development of 9 dwellings comprising 5 detached houses and 4 attached units.  

The award winning development at Phoenix Yard was a former light industrial site incorporating a Victorian warehouse and villa. 

Island Farm. Extension and refurbishment of a 15C grade 2 listed property near Biddenden Kent.

The Court House is a detached 2 storey property that originally had a glazed conservatory of the south facing elevation to the rear. The existing conservatory was uninsulated and subject to extremes of temperature, and was replaced with a contemporary highly insulated structure with opening Bi Fold doors to take in the panoramic views at the rear.

The Client wanted to extend at ground floor to create a larger family room / dining & office and increase the headroom at first floor level to the bedrooms by altering the existing catslide roof into three gables. The increased headroom to the bedrooms also allowed an extra en-suite to the middle bedroom.

Sutton Architects also did the planning and working drawings including building control submission.
