Springhill Barn

Springhill Barn is set within open countryside and is one of 3 rural building that formed the original farm development.

Sutton Architects were engaged to provide construction and working drawings for the development and refurbishment of this grade 2 listed Threshing Barn to provide a residential dwelling. The client, who was also the contractor / developer, employed traditional construction methods to reinstate the former Threshing Barn into a stunning 4 bedroom home, including providing a mezzanine level to contain 1st floor bedrooms and bathrooms via a high level glazed bridge link. The project also retained all of the existing oak framed structure and reused many of the existing Kent peg tiles. 

Sutton Architects also designed the adjacent 4 bay oak garage as part of the development and re applied for various planning amendments.
