Homersham Farm House Smarden Ashford Kent

Sutton Architects brief was to extend the existing farmhouse in Smarden Kent to provide for a large kitchen / family room and an attached annex for  the clients mother. 

The annex was possible under the Local authorities planning policy which was then linked to the main dwelling with a subtle stone link. 

The main property was converted at the rear with a 2 storey and single storey extension providing an additional master bedroom and ensuite  at first floor level and a large kitchen / family room at ground floor with bi-fold doors opening onto a south west facing garden. The materials used externally were brick and local ragstone. 

The external patio areas were complemented with a subtle landscaping scheme.

The project also includes a 3 bay detached garage.
